Unlike the toys we used to use in our company,
・The support material is hand cream-like and water soluble, so it can be used in any shape
・The “hardness” of the support material allows for tapping
・It also has “toughness” so you can make springs
・Fast molding because of many nozzles by inkjet method
・Safe because it does not use heaters
・Can be modeled with four different materials: transparent resin, heat resistant resin, low hardness silicone rubber, and high hardness silicone rubber
・High precision, especially 15㎛ in Z direction
But there is a disadvantage
・Materials are relatively expensive (for simple block shapes, it is often cheaper to fabricate with MC nylon)
・Materials are limited
・High precision is not enough to make tolerances
・Strength depends on direction due to laminated molding (unconfirmed)
・Low mass producibility
・Fairly noisy (level that might be a problem in offices, etc.)
and so on, but I felt it was most important to first switch my head to 3D printer use.
